Testosterone is a hormone made by your sex organs. Although males produce more of this hormone than females, it plays some major roles in both genders, some of which include:

  1. The development of the male internal and external reproductive organs during pregnancy
  2. The maturation of male sexual characteristics during puberty
  3. Strengthening of bones and muscles
  4. Enhancing the libido (sex drive)

Why should you know your testosterone levels?
With the vital role this hormone plays in our lives, it stands to reason why it would be of great benefit to know its levels in our body system. The amount of testosterone in our body changes constantly in response to your body’s needs.
For some people, these levels can become too low and cause unwanted effects like erectile dysfunction in males or become too high and reduce the reproductive ability of females as seen in a condition called polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Also, certain tumors of the sex organs can affect the production of testosterone.

This is where the testosterone test comes in!
It is simply a test that measures the amount of testosterone in your blood.

Who needs to have a testosterone test done?
I’m sure you can guess this already.

  1. Every living male and female but more specifically;
  2. Males with decreased body hair, decreased muscle mass, low sex drive, and erectile dysfunction
  3. Females experiencing irregular or absent menstrual periods, infertility, facial and body hair, deepened voice, and weight gain.

To wrap it all up,
It is important for you to check your testosterone to determine if it’s low or high. Luckily, this test has been discounted for you, and all you need to do is pay here. You can also speak to a doctor who can help determine what is causing the low/high levels and create an action plan for you.
